Several years ago I was approached by Dawn who runs a program for individuals with memory loss. My first visit was an introduction to painting, showing a variety of my work to the group. to my pleasant surprise the groups was so engaged that we set up a variety of classes in painting. We began with watercolor, created a book of the work they completed. Other project had a wide variety of mediums; from creating a conversation on language and were it began. They seemed to be very interested in art history. We built a collage of their art, a quilt which they did painting on cotton cloth, and modeling clay.
By the time Covid hit things came to a halt, so we wet virtual. We even went down to the lake and painted. In this class they wanted to know about an interesting period in art. I choose the period in Spain that we all got along and learned much from each other. In all the project the group created the topic.A very enriching experience.

The two projects I am able to show case are below - the first is excerpts from our first work in painting and the second is the presentation in history of art.
